When I was appointed Commercial Attaché at the French Embassy in Bahrain in the 1990s, just after graduating with an MBA from ESC Marseille, I did not expect that I would spend most of my business career in the Middle East.

From 2000 to 2020, we became the leading distributor of licensed fashion watches and accessories, representing some of the most renowned fashion brands:
Cerruti 1881, Thierry Mugler, Nina Ricci, Christian Lacroix, Ted Lapidus, Paul Smith, Kenzo, Gant, under the exclusive rights of Groupe Trianon, which I founded and managed in Dubai (UAE).

Covering all countries of the Middle East — Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, and Oman — my team of 12 experienced professionals expanded our market presence, with our products displayed in around 1,200 stores and department stores, generating a yearly turnover of €35 million.

As CEO of the group, and building on our strong relationships and success with Middle Eastern retailers, we decided to enter a new and rapidly growing sector: the premium food distribution business, supplying five-star hotels, bakeries, pastry and chocolate shops, and production facilities.

This new challenge naturally began in the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the heart of the GCC, just 45 minutes from Saudi Arabia — a return to where everything originally started.

The milestone achievement of this venture came in 2024, with the opening of four FAUCHON Paris restaurants at the Kempinski and St. Regis hotels in Qatar, in partnership with the Al Fardan family. These are now the largest FAUCHON restaurants in the world.
